This class is a follow-up to last spring’s class, Extraordinary Knowing. It will focus on ideas, issues, research and technologies (e.g., methods, exercises, tutorials, programs) related to brain, mind, brain fitness, and mindfulness, especially as they apply to memory, thinking, awareness, and consciousness, and to reduction of stress, pain and suffering.

The class will be conducted in a seminar format, enabling participants to explore and discuss recommended and ‘discovered’ ideas, facts, and resources. Each participant will have an opportunity to try out, demonstrate and critique selected brain fitness and mindfulness programs, exercises, and related internet resources.

No specific text is required for the class, but some books, CDs, DVDs, and internet resources will be recommended. Full participation in the class will require access to a computer and the internet.
